Faith in Action Program Director Ruth Hebbe Earns United Way Dedication to Service Award in 2020

WAUSAU
– Faith in Action of Marathon County (FIAMC) Program Director Ruth Hebbe was recognized by United Way on February 12, 2021, for her dedication to service in 2020.

“Ruth is a tireless advocate for our area senior residents, and 2020 was no exception,” said FIAMC Board President Eric Steinbach. “Facing an unprecedented year of challenges and restrictions due to COVID-19, Ruth’s eagerness to serve others showed resiliency, a spark for innovation, and a strong passion to continue providing services to those in need in Marathon County.”

United Way presents the Dedication to Service award to a program or executive director at a non-profit for demonstrating outstanding achievement and service to our community. Only one individual receives this award annually.

United Way of Marathon County extends their congratulations to Ruth and said, “This past year, more than ever, Ruth has worked to help bring agencies dedicated to serving seniors, together. She has a cooperative spirit and sees strength in partnerships.”

FIAMC provides area seniors with services such as wellness checks, grocery delivery, transportation for medical appointments, and friendships at no cost.

“I am truly humbled to receive this award,” concluded Hebbe. “All of this would not have been possible without the hard work and support of our volunteers, donors, board members, partnering organizations, and beyond.”
