Governor Evers has proclaimed November 12-18 as Social Isolation and Loneliness Week. A week that FIAMC honors all year round.
Loneliness and Isolation are both associated with physical, emotional, and psychological health impacts which include greater risk for cardiovascular events, depressive symptoms, cognitive decline, and abuse and neglect.
Did you know that prolonged isolation can be as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day?
FIAMC provides friendly visiting as a way to help combat these feelings. If you have a loved one who resides in Marathon County and is 60+, or you are currently a Care Receiver in need of socialization, please do not hesitate to reach out to our office at 715-848-8783.

GREAT Job, Alison!!!

*True biblical shalom refers to PEACE – an inward sense of completeness or wholeness. Although it can describe the absence of war, most biblical references refer to inner completeness and tranquility. *
*In Israel today, when you greet someone or say goodbye, you say, “Shalom.” In this context, it means: “M**ay you be full of well-being” or “May health and prosp*e*rity be upon you.”*
