Senior Services Coordinator Position

General Summary:

Be a leading impetus for FIA employees and volunteers to be a Trusted Advocate for our Care-Receivers’ needs.  Responsible for handling the ongoing needs of matching volunteers’ service interests to specific requests from care-receivers.  Effectively and creatively facilitate marketing of FIAMC.  Acquire working knowledge of Progam Director tasks, responsibilities, and assist when needed.  Position can be full-time or part-time with flexible work arrangements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Recordkeeping and monitoring FIAMC’s Online Scheduling System
  • Assist care-receivers by finding volunteers to meet their needs
  • Assist qualifying care-receivers with the setup for food pantry deliveries from The Neighbors Place (TNP)
  • Coordinate scheduled deliveries with TNP and oversee the volunteer itinerary pick up procedure
  • Mail/email applications to potential care-receivers and volunteers
  • Process care-receiver and volunteer applications
  • Process volunteer time & mileage sheets
  • Keep background checks, driver’s license, and insurance information up to date
  • Create and run reports as needed
  • Organize volunteers to help with large mailings, occasional office tasks, delivery of special items such as Gifts of Hope, Christmas & birthday cards, etc.
  • Receive donations, place in safe after copying each item for FIAMC’s records, and then mail Thank You Letters (PD templates provided)
  • Correlate agency referrals for senior service inquiries of which FIAMC does not provide (Master List available)
  • Acquire the knowledge and skill of FIAMC’s CRM system to carry out day-to-day senior activities
  • Marketing: keep current with social media and website postings
  • Continuing Education Seminars are highly encouraged, and many are available online

Job Qualifications:

   Education: Post-high school education; Business Management with Marketing emphasis preferred

   Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a Not-For-Profit environment, or equivalent, is desired.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with customer service skills
  • Diplomatic
  • Experience in Elder Care and/or working with senior populations
  • Demonstrated empathy towards Seniors’ (60+) life challenges
  • Computer proficiency; Word, Excel, email
  • Knowledge of office machines
  • Marketing aptitude
  • Ability and willingness to learn and manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
